EXCERPT FROM Seeress:

Torin leaned against the bike and pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his waist and tried to enjoy the moment, but the vision I’d seen came back to haunt me. I lifted my head and studied his face. “Would you visit a Seeress if something happened to me and I disappeared, and you didn’t know where to look?”
He stiffened. “What?”
“If something bad happened to me—”
“That’s not funny.” He glowered.
“It’s a hypothetical situation, Torin.”
“I don’t care. Don’t say that.”
I sighed. “Okay, I won’t. But would you visit a Seeress to see the future if a friend was missing and you didn’t know where she was or whether she’s coming back home?”
“Why is my friend a she? I don’t have she-friends except you.”
I wanted to deck him. He could be so impossible sometimes. “If a he-friend was sick, would you visit a Seeress to get some answers,” I said through clenched teeth.
“Nope.” He smirked, confirming he was messing with me.
I wiggled out of his arms and gave him you’d-better-answer-me-truthfully-or-else glare. “Why not?”
“I don’t like witches.”
My jaw dropped. “How can you say that? I happen to be one. A Seeress.”
“Until we confirm your first vision, you,” he stroked my nose, “are just a glorified Immortal and… my girlfriend.”
I punched his arm. Hard.  “Jerk.”
“Witch.”
I reached for him, but he engaged his runes and slipped past me. Then he had the nerve to laugh. There was only one truck left in the parking lot, so I figured no one could see us. I engaged my runes and went after him. I tackled him, or he allowed me to catch him and we landed on the snow. We rolled a bit until I pinned him down. I had snow on my hair. I shook it, spraying him.
“Cut that out,” he growled, a playful light in his eyes.
“What do you have against witches?” I asked.
He cushioned his head on his arms and smirked. “The ones I knew growing up were horrible.”
“What did they do to you?”
He pulled me down for a kiss and the conversation was forgotten, until I became aware of cold and wetness on my knees. Torin’s pants had to be wet too.
“Let’s take this home,” I whispered.
“I like it when you lust after me.”

EXCERPT FROM Grimnirs:

A thud came from my left, and my head whipped around. Echo gripped Blaine’s neck. Blaine’s back was against the wall.
“Don’t ever put your hand on her, Chapman. You don’t look at her wrong, raise your voice, or give her a reason to cry. You laugh and cry with her. Worship the fucking ground she walks on. If she’s hurting, you’d better be hurting ten times worse because her pain is too much to bear. Get it?”
Blaine shook his head and tried to talk.
“Wrong response, Chapman.” He slammed Blaine up against the wall. His feet were now off the ground.
I ran toward them. “Echo, stop.”
“If she’s sad, you find out why and fix it,” he continued as though I hadn’t spoken. “If she gets scared, you find the bastards responsible and you annihilate them. You slay her dragons and chase away her demons.”
I gripped Echo’s arm. “Put him down. He didn’t hurt me.”
“He did. You cried out.” His voice was curt, and he still didn’t look at me, his focus on Blaine. “If you ever hurt her in any way or form, there won’t be a place or realm for you to hide because I will find you, Chapman, rip out your heart, and feed it to the serpents of Naastrand. Understand?”
Blaine nodded.
“Good.” He dropped Blaine. No, threw him, since Blaine landed in the gutter a few feet away. The sound of concrete cracking sounded like a sledgehammer.
Echo glanced at me. Then his gaze shifted to someone behind me, and he smirked.
Caught between knocking some sense into his thick head and going after Blaine, I peered at Blaine. “Are you okay?”
He staggered to his feet, one hand rubbing his neck. “The bastard is crazy!”
A chuckle came from behind me and I turned, expecting to see Echo. He had already disappeared. Instead, Andris, Ingrid, Torin, and Raine watched me with varied expressions. Ingrid’s boyfriend was by the door and I wondered how much he’d seen.
“No, you pissed him off, Chapman,” Andris said. “What were you thinking messing with Cora?”
“I didn’t mess with her,” Blaine snapped. “We were talking, so when she took off, I followed. And that Neanderthal nearly snapped my neck.”
“Actually, he could have snapped it.” Andris moved closer to where I stood with Blaine. “You grabbed her, dude. That’s just wrong.”

Nothing can stop Raine Cooper when she wants something...
Raine finally knows that her gorgeous neighbor, Torin St. James, is a legend straight out of Norse mythology, and that her feelings for him are strong. Torin is crazy about Raine too, breaking the one rule he lives by: Never fall for a mortal. The problem is he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns—Norse destiny deities—to punish her for defying them.

So Raine comes up with a plan...
She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again.
But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves.

EXCERPT FROM Immortals:

“I’m throwing a Halloween party next week. Want to come?” Drew asked.
“Maybe.” Cora, Eirik, and I had a weird Halloween tradition. We went treat-or-treating together then poured all our candy on the bed and traded pieces. Trading was the fun part. “Can my friends come, too?”
“If one of them is Cora, then yes,” Drew said and smirked.
Before I could respond, a telltale shiver rushed under my skin. Torin.
“What are you three plotting,” he asked from behind me. He was so close I could feel the heat from his body. Did he have to stand that close? I’d bet it was deliberate.
I took a deep breath before glancing at him, which was a mistake on so many levels. His scent, earthy and masculine, filled my nostrils, and my traitorous body responded. I wanted to wrap myself around him like a pretzel, bury my face in his neck and just soak him in. He looked so good in a dark-blue shirt under his leather jacket, which made his eyes pop. He hadn’t shaved again, but I wasn’t complaining. The shadow on his chin made him look even yummier.
“Cat got your tongue?” he teased.
“No. It’s still here.” I stuck out my tongue.
His eyes drifted to my lips. My mount went dry, my heart picking up tempo. When our gazes met, I blinked. How could he claim he didn’t want me yet look at me with such heat? I wanted to kick him or yell at him then kiss him senseless.
“We’re discussing my Halloween party,” Drew said.
“You’re coming, St. James, right?” Keith said.
Torin didn’t even look at them, his hot gaze on my face. “Are you going?”
His voice was velvet soft, making me want to purr. I had to swallow before answering. “Yes. Are you?”
“Aren’t you too busy to be partying?” he asked sharply, disapproval on his face.
Just like that, he destroyed my romantic thoughts. I shot him a mean smile.
“For Drew and Keith,” I hugged the two jocks’ arms. “I’ll make time. So are you going?”
“I don’t do Halloween.” He smirked and sauntered past me.
“Chicken,” I retorted.
He stopped and turned. The glint that entered his eyes should have warned me he was about to do something I wouldn’t like. He took a step that brought him closer. My first instinct was to walk away. Run. Say something. But the terrier in me was wagging its tail. His hand slipped around my waist and nudged me closer. My breath hitched. He grinned, liking my response. I stopped breathing altogether when our bodies touched. He felt so good, all muscles, heat, and pure temptation.
“Chicken? Me?” he mocked, his head dipping slowly, eyes daring me to, I don’t know, repeat what I’d said, stop him?
I wanted to say something snarky, but my mouth was too dry. When his nose gently brushed mine, I moaned. He was going to kiss me. Yes! My lips parted in anticipation.
