Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Girls started vanishing in the fall, and now winter's come to lay a white sheet over the horror. Door County, it seems, is swallowing the young, right into its very dirt. From beneath the house on Water Street, I've watched the danger swell.
The residents know me as the noises in the house at night, the creaking on the stairs. I'm the reflection behind them in the glass, the feeling of fear in the cellar. I'm tied—it seems—to this house, this street, this town.
I'm tied to Maggie and Pauline, though I don't know why. I think it's because death is coming for one of them, or both.
All I know is that the present and the past are piling up, and I am here to dig.I am looking for the things that are buried.
From bestselling author Jodi Lynn Anderson comes a friendship story bound in snow and starlight, a haunting mystery of love, betrayal, redemption, and the moments that we leave behind.

I dont like to read reviews before I read a book but I do skim the star ratings on Goodreads, and this one hasn't had a whole lot of love to date, but I'm still really intrigued and excited for it's release, and the mystery side of things sounds really promising.
What book are you patiently waiting for the release of?
This one sounds great! Hope you can stop by mine.
ReplyDeleteI loved Tiger Lily, so I'm really excited for Jodi's new book. I haven't checked Goodreads reviews about it, but I'm definitely curious to know why it's not getting a lot of love right now. Great pick though! Loved the cover.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my WoW picks for this week!
1. This was almost my Waiting on Wednesday this Week.
ReplyDelete2. It sounds super spooky and for whatever reason reminded me of the so-called "Smiley Face Murders." If you want to be creeped out over possibly nothing, Google that.
